Muttering For Furry White Beasts

Typing typing typing, just because I can. But what to type? Something? Or nothing at all? I've already typed something so nothing at all is impossible. But HA, i could highlight and delete or backspace backspace backspace and wipe it all out but nah, I'm just gonna type. But why'm I gonna type? No need to. No need at all. I think el reasono is because I'm wicked tired. Slept only a few hours and now it's freakin' dawn and in a few hours football will be on. Oi. I've gotta sneak a nap in somewhere. But then there's a problem 'cause to just take a short nap for a couple hours isn't as easy as that. I have an allergic reaction to the alarm clock -- i hate it. I've broken more than a few. I've turned the sucker off and went right back to sleep thousands of times... and that's with the alarm clock on the other side of the room. But nap I must but I don't wanna 'cause sleeping away life ain't right. Not right at all. I guess, perhaps, all there is to say is it's time for [drum roll.....]

Unconscious Mutterings

a free association game -- I say ... and you think ... ?

1. Rita :: Rudner, comedian, kinda funny still, she was on the last Comic Relief to aid New Orleans and the Gulf region in recovery from Ms. Katrina.

2. Comedy :: I think whoever thought these words up had Rita Rudner in mind for #1.

3. Polar
:: bears. Al Gore says they're all gonna die off. He's probably right. I don't seriously think the Earth is in any kind of drastic environmental emergency but the situation is dire. Arctic Ocean ice in the late spring is melting away earlier than it has in hundreds of years. And in the Fall the ice doesn't reach land until later and later so polar bears suffer. If anyone thinks mankind has nothing to do with global warming, they're nuts, I'm sorry. All the factories and cars in the world do nothing? Bull.

4. Idiots
:: Lobbyists who get America's Republican AND Democrat politicians to cast votes that will favor corporations who have no desire to stop polluting the Earth. These idiots must get some hefty paychecks from the idiots who run the corporations who pollute. Afterall, why does the Earth need to be clean? Pretty stoopid to care about when there's a Starbucks not too far from every suburban sprawldivision where one can go to selfishly spend their money and not worry about things like raping and polluting of the Earth by idiots who don't give a crap.

5. Perception
:: It is my perception that I am always right. Bow down, agree and obey. Now!

6. Infected
:: I was infected with Meningococcal Meningitis at the beginning of summer just before either 7th or 8th grade. It was right before the 4th of July and we had Mets tickets, for a doubleheader, back when doubleheaders were actually scheduled. We had given the tickets to friends but I was still gonna go with them. Spent about 3 or 4 nights in the hospital, missed the July 4th, had to watch the games on TV, and actually contemplated climbing out the window with bedsheets tied together to make my way to our friend's house so I could go to the games! Stoopid illness.

7. Fake
:: diamonds? people? I always hate when I buy a Gucci handbag and find out it's fake. Made in China! HAAA! Wait... I don't buy handbags. Not me. Nevermind.

8. Relating
:: I'm drawing a blank. Pass.

9. Distraction :: Comedy is a great distraction when something's bothering you. TV is HORRIBLE, for the most part, and should be avoided like the plague... or like meningococcal meningitis... but mindless comedy is often the best medicine for anything!

10. Gamble
:: Vega$ ... wasting money. So many better things one can do with money you pump into slot machines or lay down at the table. I used to gamble... then I stopped being an idiot.

Ahh, what fun answers... I tried something new this week--an audio answer! :-)

Love Rita Rudner... haven't thought of her in forever.

Loved your "perception" answer. Don't know if I'm ready to bow to you, but I will applaud your sense of humor.

I must say, that was fun.

No, really, it's 4:30AM over here and I was going online to read some boring emails to put me to sleep, but then I read your comment, found myself on here, and I couldn't stop giggling. OK, laughing.

Awesome post.

I appreciated what you said for "polar."

I liked your perception answer, too. Unfortunately, I bow to no one :)

I like how you tied the last one in with idiot. I wouldn't mind spending a day playing slot machines on a cruise...but I would space out my nickels and not spend much at all. More taking pictures of the water and the land...yes, I should do that. :-)

Sometimes Rita Rudner offended me...like her comments on children.

one says one number and the other another
but they were set at the same time. Hmmm...
