What's the opposite of brain freeze?

sc-tightThere needs to be an amendment to the Constitution of the United States that bans HOT weather.

Thursday afternoon, as I drove down the Parks Highway to catch my flight out of Anchorage, the temperature over that part of central Alaska was around 60° (F) -- just absolutely gorgeous.

A 6 hour drive and 13½ hours in airplanes and airports later, I arrived in a place called Hell... no, I'm not talkin' Hell, Michigan, Hell a.k.a. South Carolina... Charleston, in the Lowcountry, to be more specific.

Charleston is a beautiful city, interesting history, cool downtown, great restaurants... or so I'm told ;) I've seen some o' that, maybe one day I'll explore it some more... just not when it's 420 degrees outside.

Walking out of the airport terminal made me feel as if someone had thrown me into a sauna. There's nothing civilized about sweating through your clothes the moment you leave indoors. This place ain't too bad in the winter but come on now, this is just sick.

sc-easternwideI'm completely against more government; they screw everything up, waste our money, and call it okay. But at this moment it would be nice if the government controlled the weather. If our politicians truly care about the people they're supposed to be serving, they'd finally give them comfort in their environment i.e. TURN THE HEAT DOWN!!!!!

Now, I don't mind hot weather in small doses but this is insane.

What happens to a person when they live with this day in and day out? Quite simple, really.

It melts your mind.

New Use For A Keyboard

Why is violence funny?

I don't know if the camera footage is real or staged... but it looks like a real fight... and it's freakin' funny! If someone's beating someone up on the street or truly beating on someone's ass in a video... that's certainly not funny. Maybe it's not the violence itself, it's the losing of his temper. Still, when someone loses the temper, that's when people get hurt, that's when people get killed, etc. Nothing good comes from someone losing their temper... or at least that's probably the case most of the time.

But this is funny. Well, at least I think so. Is that right?

Deadheads Against Obama; or Barack Obama, Shut The Hell Up!

Giving a speech at Tulane University this morning, in the once great city on the banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the City of New Orleans, Barack Obama, in trying to win the hearts and minds of as many people as possible, said the following:

"Katrina may have battered the levees, but it also exposed silent storms that have ravaged parts of this city and our country for far too long. The storms of poverty and jobless, inequality, and injustice... those are the storms that swirled before Katrina hit.

I was down in Houston visiting evacuees a few days after Katrina. I met a woman in the Reliant Center who had long known these storms in her life. She told me, and I quote,

'We had nothing before the hurricane, now we got less than nothing.'

'We had nothing before the hurricane, now we got less than nothing.' Think about... I think about her sometimes, I think about how America left her behind before the storm. I wonder where she is today. America failed that woman long before that failure showed up on our television screens."

Mr. Obama, what were that woman's circumstances before Hurricane Katrina? You didn't fill ANYONE in on exactly what she was going through in her life and how she got there.

My impression is that Obama was suggesting that the woman was in poverty and it wasn't her fault.

Really?

Everyone in America who lives in poverty, that's the government's fault? Surely it couldn't be my fault or my neighbor's fault. Poverty must be the fault of the government, right?

Okay, I'd agree that the politicians in Washington should do more to help people get out of poverty -- I don't have the answers but I know that the help should be in helping them to help themselves get out of poverty.

That woman that Obama spoke of, perhaps her poverty was HER OWN DOING. If that's the case, is it up to the government to give them handouts so they can move beyond poverty? No. Therefore the government should definitely NOT be taking more of our hard-earned money in order to pay for such handouts. The mere thought of raising taxes to establish free handout programs for those in poverty, it's dangerously raising my blood pressure and really pissing me off.

Sadly, wealthy liberal politicians and businessmen and actors and musicians (who shall remain nameless) must not be able to remember what it's like to stretch a dollar or what it's like for every paycheck to be carefully used rather than spent like it's no big deal. For the most part, OUR money should remain OUR money...

...and people should bust their own asses to get out of poverty. There are Americans doing that EVERY single day. Hell, in the United States there are MILLIONS of illegal immigrants from many different nations doing that EVERY single day!!!! They help themselves. In many cases, they've risked their lives to come here to help themselves and even their families in poverty back home. I'm not endorsing being here illegally but making a point that people who aren't even from here, they know the value of hard work in America to earn a paycheck to help themselves. Maybe more Americans in poverty oughta ask the illegals for advice.

What the government needs to do is stop spending idiotically for things like a children's museum dedicated to the history of peanuts or a neighborhood beautification project that will raise the home value of the politician who tacked the earmark onto some bill passed by Congress and ultimately signed by the President.

Spending responsibly could truly change the face of this nation to give more people more of an opportunity. But one of the most amazing things about this country is people in ANY situation are allowed to rise above... all they've got to do is work hard enough. From every hellish neighborhood and school in this country, someone's made it out successfully through hard work and the desire to live a better life than those around them. It is possible.

Look, bottomline is the government should not be taking more of what U.S. citizens work hard to earn in order to give to those who haven't helped or those who just won't help themselves. The government should encourage us to help our fellow citizens... but not force us to.

So shut up, Obama. You'd probably make a very good president who truly cares about the citizens of this great land... but NO raising taxes.

But wait. Obama's still a very misguided fool for wanting to appease the evil of Saddam Hussein. With all the information that we had about the man and his dictatorship, Obama thought that was okay? Let's allow him do as he pleases? Let him keep on breaking U.N. resolutions against him? Let him keep making deals with certain countries so he could attain personal wealth and luxuries that he didn't give to the citizens of his nation? Let him keep spying on weapons inspectors and giving them the run-around? Let him keep on encouraging suicide attacks on Israel and paying the families of those who've blown themselves up? Let him keep on allowing al-Qaeda to have a training camp within the borders of Iraq?

I guess Saddam was an okay guy, huh, Obama?

Oh, and wanting America to surrender to al-Qaeda and leave Iraq in defeat, allowing instability to rule, allowing genocide to occur, allowing Iran to influence the entire region... did I mention allowing America to surrender and be defeated by al-Qaeda? All of that is despicable.

Barack Obama does not deserve to be President.

Not of this country.

Yes, Mormonism is a Cult...

Today's the big day, Primary Day in New Hampshire.

How about voting for Mitt Romney for President?
He's one of them Morons i mean Mormons,
a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints.

Sure, they're a cult...
but maybe Romney can help bring back polygamy.

What's so wrong with polygamy?

I've tried it...

and I like it!

Super Boring Useless Day Cold Complaint

KleenexAll I wanted to do today was NOTHING. Well, nothing + a run. That's it! Other than nothing + a run, I wanted to accomplish zip, zilch, nada, zero, and any other words that mean NOTHING which I should know in French, Russian, and Turkish but they just ain't coming to mind, that is if I ever knew them in the first place. (Learning languages doesn't always mean learning every single word!)

After working a 24 hour shift (which I did Christmas Eve -> Christmas day) where I get a spot of sleep, a spot of sleep there, all I wanna do is have a pint, sleep for maybe half a day, and then be the laziest sum-biotche on Earth... + go for a run.

No run so I failed, kind of, I mean it's not that big of a deal but it is but it's not but whatever.

The worst part of everything in this life today -- somebody gave me a cold.

Seriously?!? When you're an EMT for the community, even on Christmas, you come into contact with a loooooooooooooooot of people and if they're not lonely senior citizens they're wounded people and if they're not wounded people they're looney people and if they're not looney people then they're freakin' sick in some way and that could be as little as a cold and I just typed all this without looking at the keyboard and with TWO fingers, sometimes three, I think, and since I only use two or three fingers and I'm kinda fast then hey, that's not bad especially....

especially since I'm half whacked outta my gourd, it seems, on over-the-counter Cold/Allergy medication which isn't doing A DAMN THING FOR ME except making me loopy.

These freakin' pills DON'T WORK. Take 2 for 8 hours or something like that. What if two doesn't work? Take 2 more. What if 4 in an hour doesn't work? Take 2 more, of course. 6 in an hour and a half? And still for my nose they do NOTHING. Yay.

I wanna watch a movie but my head it so hazy that I might as well just watch paint dry 'cause I think I'd be able to concentrate on paint but a film? Haaa!

The worst part, didn't I say that already? If I didn't then I thought it. I could scroll up and check but I don't wanna.

Anyway, the worst part is I go through these periods of having to blow my nose EVERY FREAKIN' MINUTE. Très annoying. Aside from that ticking me off quite severely, I basically feel fine... except for the head cloudiness because of the stoopid ass cold tablet dealies which HAVE DONE NOTHING.

Fun day. Sleep was good. Being awake sucked. At least I don't have to work until Friday!

Now, since this post is nothing but shlum, and frankly if shlum isn't a word then it is now and if it means something else, then it has a new meaning now, since this shlum is so pointless and really I have no idea why I'm typing it or why I'll Publish it... or what my next thought even will be, I apologize for taking up space in the world today even if it's just with this idiotic moronic post that I'm guessing not more than 3 people will even read all the way through... and if you did -- WHY?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

That is all. Time to blow my damn nose.

Small Problems and I Still Hate Cops

I was wanting to put up a show today, a show from December 15 ... but yay (I groan sarcastically) the upload for one of the sets has stalled on me 3 times now in the past 24 hours ... so it'll be at least a day late but hopefully tomorrow.

Then hopefully Jerry Garcia Band midweek. Same Bat Time, Same Bat Station. Y'all tune in now, ya hear?

A half hour ago at 8:00 a.m. I tried to turn on Fox NFL Sunday. It wasn't there. Not on? What the heck?! Ahhh... I see, it's not Sunday yet.

It's just Saturday so I'm off to work in a few minutes. NFL tomorrow.

And being an American should mean HATE THE POLICE because they, in general, are power abusing jerks who deserve NO respect unless they first earn it. Often people sign up to become a cop because they have issues in their personal lives that makes them want to control and/or beat on people legally. Pigs way too often use too much force... and then more often than not they are cleared of their abuse. Pathetic. I work with pigs all the time and some are really great people -- but contempt for the police must ALWAYS come first because they are not to be trusted by adults who know better.

I guess on a rare occasion, an exception to honor a cop can be made and here's a funny dude from... [shiver] Rhode Island. He's retired but directs traffic in Providence every Christmastime.

Seriously?

I know who he is ... but where the heck did he come from? Not like where was he born, where did he grow up, where did he serve as a politician... what I mean is I've seen like 3 or 4 Republican debates so far and I haven't seen him before. Was he hiding? Now there's this debate on TV right now, from Iowa (yes, very smart to not have it in Primetime so more people would be able to see it... idiots) and here's a new guy, this guy, Alan Keyes. I'm guessing it was very recently that he signed up to run. (I could look it up but seriously, spending time offering to clean the toilet at McDonald's would be a better use of my time.) Anyway, I've been paying attention to this whole Presidential mess and today's the first time I've heard his name in the race.

What I'm wondering most about Keyes running -- why? Fox News Channel has undecided voters doing a simultaneous Rate The Candidate dealie and I'm not sure who exactly is lowest: Keyes or that super wackjob looney Ron Paul. One or the other. It's too close to call. Actually, I think Keyes is placing slightly higher than Paul! HAAA!

I don't especially care to partake in usage of youtube... when it comes to the total liberal breakdown of American society, its contribution is most definitely more negative than positive.

But this has been on TV and is pretty good...

Oi

So, isn't this swell?

After the CNN planted debate questions debacle, the Clinton campaign is trying to deflect from that by creating this hostage situation in Rochester, New Hampshire?!

"Vote for Clinton, We Were Held Hostage"

Now I don't seriously believe the conspiracy that I just put forth... but look, if it came to light that it was indeed true -- i would not be surprised!

What really sucks most about this -- is there anything else in the world happening this afternoon? Here we are, yet a-freakin'-gain, when one halfway lame ass story DOMINATES the news while the rest of the world seems to either have stopped or fallen into some black abyss where nothing exists any longer. No one else is out there, nothing else is going on, there's no other news other than this one lone dillhole.

When I have the news channels on during the day, I don't want one freakin' story.

Pathetic.

Los Alamos, Slovenia: Lemme Hear Ya Say "YEAAA-AHHHH!"

Always love visits from the government... if you're back, I promise, I am not a spy for the resurging Soviet Union or for those al Qaeda dooshbags ... in fact, I'm pretty sure I'm not a spy for anyone. The Lollypop Guild often tried to recruit me for underground activities to overthrow Canada's government, but I turned them down. (They don't even have Dunkin Donuts over there! (Here in Alaska, Canada's not up there, Canada's over there, eh, to the left... and not just physically but politically, too... to the left... Haaa! To the left, leaning towards Socialism, loony lefties, Left, get it?! HAAAA!) (I'm a little looney myself this early in the a.-freakin'-m.) Plus I'd have to go to the U.S. for my healthcare, that is if I wanted to be taken care of in a timely manner.)

Annnnnnyway, I've never been to Los Alamos. Last time I was in New Mexico -- sheesh, beats me, years ago, like 6 or 7 maybe. If you want an accounting of my movements there -- no! (I can't remember. I can't remember what I had for lunch yesterday, so bite me.)
