Catatonic? Sort of.
Almost the weekend. Some needed exercise (running.) Music (from Cardiff.) Sunny day. Chilly. Coffee now. Good coffee. Agent Cooper might say: "Damn good coffee! And HOT!"

11:35 am - 46° - another cloudless sunny sky
Another fine run. Fine. Yes, fine. Twas nice and chilly just how I like and the sun beating down warmed me nicely under my long-sleeve shirt. By the time I heard the End Cue on my mp3 player, when my Running Time was achieved and I slowed down to a walk, I was wanting a short-sleeve shirt: a little warm I was but that comes with running. I felt good all through the run, feelin' good now a little while afterward. Forty seconds added was just fine, yes, more fine, and I'm looking forward to adding another half minute plus next time out.

Lost Cat Sweet Catatonia Some Half Baked Ideal Called Wonderful You've Got A Lot To Answer For Infantile Dream On Bleed This Boy Can't Swim Painful Whale For Tinkerbell Way Beyond Blue Gyda Gwên (With A Smile) |
My favorite album of the week! I've listened to this a good dozen times or so and it's just excellent pretty much from one song to the next. Maybe a few aren't so great but Cerys Matthews has such a gorgeous voice. This alternative Britpop indie rock from Wales kinda reminds me of Tanya Donelly/Belly, The Sugarcubes, even Jane's Addiction a couple times, and others whose names are escaping me right now. I had never even heard of Catatonia until recently and now I want to keep listening to this album a hundred more times. Already I'm looking forward to more stuff of theirs. It's a darn shame they're no longer together and making cool music like this but perhaps Cerys Matthews' solo albums are similar and so I can keep soaking up her voice that way, too. Good stuff!!!
