But these here mutterings, they ain't got nothing to do with Bjork or The Sugarcubes or Iceland or a whole lot of stuff, for that matter.

Untitled Meme Post, Dig If You Need It Or Leave It If You Dare

What a horrible night because of the plane crash outside of Buffalo, New York. Because of the "Miracle On The Hudson" plane crash not too long ago, I knew there'd be another crash soon. Since these things seem to come in 3's, somewhere in the world there'll be another within another week or two. Hopefully not, of course.

To try to lift me up a little, how's about this meme dealie, one I've never done before but it looks like it can be fun...

Friday Fill-Ins

My filled in answers are in Red.

1. It seems like _____ there are a lot of people:

A) who simply cannot admit, perhaps because the Kool-aid has blinded them, that the Obama administration is furthering the ruining of America.

B) who cannot possibly bring themselves to admit that President Bush actually has an I.Q. over 10 AND that because of his actions as President, we were kept safe since 9/11.

2. Clear the table _____ when you're done, please?

3. If I thought you _____ had any brains I'd _____ respect what you're saying!

(But since you're a brainwashed moron, I want you to just go away!)

4. Just another misguided Cult Member _____ is what I think of most when I think of you.

5. To me, Valentine's Day means _____ money for corporations.

6. Spinach _____ gives me strength.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to _____ planning to rule the world, tomorrow my plans include _____ buying supplies to accomplish that task and Sunday, I want to _____ go for a leisurely drive in the Albanian countryside while listening to Swedish-Ethiopian punk rock!

Enjoy a Cartoon!

Double the Mutterings, Double the Fun

Sick all Saturday, slept all evening, now awake all night. My eyelids feel so heavy yet oddly I can't freakin' fall asleep. Just Shoot Me . . . no, I mean the TV series, it's on TV Land, a 4-hour marathon. Not the best show but Spade and George Segal are pretty good okay in it. When there's nothing else on and I don't feel like listening to music and my eyes are too blurry to read... it's perfect mindless pseudo-entertainment.

But now I guess I'll finish up what Sugarmag and I started earlier...

Kettle Mutterings

Usually I type something up here. I've actually finished what's below and now it's time to see if anything wants to spring forth from my fingertips... but nope. I got nothin'...

Wait.... check this out...

Personal fundraising widget for 2008 Red Kettle campaign

We're only shooting for a hundred bucks.
Let generosity rule you and give...
it will make you feel good to do something kind for others!

Hey now it's me, Sugarmag.

Only $5 so far and that was from me. Do you want to know something that I have learned in this life? It's that when I do something kind for another person, especially a stranger, I am really doing it for myself because I get something-I get to feel good about it. The Salvation Army is a very worthy cause because they help a lot of people. If everyone reading this blog would just donate $5, would would reach $100 in less than a day.

Probably not gonna happen, Sugarmag.
It might have been a terribly stupid idea on my part
to think it would work.
I don't think anyone wants to give even a single dollar. --Zoooma

Thanks!

Wednesday Post for Wednesday

D'OH! It's Thursday. I lost a day somewhere. Anyway...

Headaches suck. So does the electricity in the neighborhood going out 8 times in about 90 minutes for no good reason whatso-freakin-ever. And then that screwed up (broke) the heating/air conditioning unit? This morning, when it happened, it was around 33 outside. No wonder it got so cold in the house. I LOVE the cold but fortunately (because of the heating unit breaking down) the temperature today got to about 63. Had it been around 50 or lower, the inside of the house would've become a hypothermia-causing icebox. I'm not exactly Tim "The Toolman" Taylor but I can fairly easily conquer many home repairs without much of a problem... but this is a repair that's beyond my expertise; Mr. Home Heating Guy is working on it now.

Because of this crapola, 100 Days O' the Dead is taking another day off... well, what I mean is there's no download for anyone... but I amn't ignoring the Dead today, nope, technically I'm actively taking part in Day 72 by listening to some tunes. I've got yesterday's show playing again and later I'm gonna give a listen to tomorrow's show. This whole 100 Days thing wasn't solely about giving people as many downloads as possible, it's also about me personally listening everyday, something I was a million miles from over the summer.

So to fulfill my desire to post something meaningful or just simply meaningless, I'll conquer another meme dealie.

I saw this a few days ago at Tall Cool Drink of Water...

Boldly going where no meme has gone before. OK. The idea is that every blogger who participates has the same list of 100 Things. Then each individual blogger makes the things they’ve done bold.

I've had Pay-As-You-Go and I've had a grand total of like 2 minutes on the phone for the past TWO months! That's how much I don't use it. Cell phones might be handy for some people but seriously, are they really needed? No. For too many people they're an unneeded expense that takes away from a person's ability to give to charity. More and more monthly expenses leaves us with less to give to others in need -- we're the selfish society. I know, I know, we give more to charity than any other nation on Earth... but we COULD do more. (We just don't care to.)
