A much needed run! I was dreading this because I didn't have time for it, plain and simple. Running with way too many things to do is bad, bad I say. The whole time all I wanted to do was sprint to the finish line (my End Cue embedded in my mp3 player's Play List.) Wanting to run fast to finish faster was only like a million percent stoopid because if I was going to run for a set amount of time, running faster wouldn't get me done any faster! This I knew... but my mind kept taking me to a place of thinking: "Faster, Lots To Do, Faster, Lots To Do." Not good. But... I got it done. I finished my time, I felt okay physically, added some time and my running life is okay right now... except I am extremely unhappy with the fact that I won't be running for the next 5 whole days but eh, I'm gonna be busy, not like I really can, well, I could, I suppose, but would be tough to. Oh well. SO... that's why this run today was So Extremely Needed.

What's there to say about this album? This is about as classic rock as classic rock gets! Such great memories of hearing Zep on the radio -- WNEW -- back when I lived in northern New Jersey, back when WNEW was THE Best Radio Station In The World. And for some reason I associate this stuff with summer... summertime, radio on, cruisin' down to the Jersey Shore, for a good hour, hour and a half, WNEW would be picked up just fine before getting too far away from the city. Ahhhhhh traffic on the Garden State Parkway. With great music like this on the radio, what a joy that was! This will never get old, will it? Forty years ago this year Zep released their first two albums. I think I actually dig Zep II more than their debut. I wonder if anyone else feels the same. In any case, this Deadhead NEEDS more Zep!!

What's better than the Dead AND Zep! I live in NY and sorely miss the WNEW days! 102.7 i believe.
Still have my fingers crossed for, if not a reunion, at least a release of something from the Zep vaults for the 40th Anniversary. Call me crazy!
