No Good Title for Running This Morning

The North Face trail running shoe -- good for use in the Appalachian Mountains ... but seriously, they are rather small compared to the Rocky Mountains ... Sierra Nevada are sweet, too. Would definitely use 'em in the Alps, that's for sure. One thing's for sure -- Jerry Garcia or Bob Weir or Phil Lesh or Blaise Compaoré probably never went running in Liberia, Burkina Faso, Ouagadougou, Pyongyang, Probably the same with Brent Mydland. At least that's my gut feeling. I could be wrong. I mean, there were a lot of drugs at Grateful Dead shows and the good Lord above, He knows I did my share!

2 Days Since My Last Run

7:10 a.m. - 66° - calm, clear, cool

Had a very small feeling of accomplishment this morning -- a new minute level. All the way up past 26 minutes. Whoop-di-doo, I know. But it's minorly significant for me.

Cooler this morning than 2 days ago which was very, very nice. It started cloudy but when I got back an hour after I left, it was clearing up. Dewey but tolerable. I will trade wet shoes for a non-hot morning any day. Music was not my favorite but AC/DC is great to run to in the morning when half asleep. It woke my butt up and really got me going!

I feel a little sore in my shoulders. I'm not sure why that happens from running but occasionally it does. Two runs in essentially 48 hours can be a bit of a toll on me. I'm sure I can handle every other day running but I'm not completely used to it. Maybe the shoulder thing is just part of an overall fatigue from sleeping on a bed that's not perfect for me combined with not getting a completely full night of sleep. Beats me. In any case, I'm feelin' good, in general, no problems, no worries. I think I'll shoot for another run in 2 days time again!
