Kittywampus

Hey now it's me, Sugarmag. I want to draw your attention to the fact that one of my favorite bloggers, Sungold of Kittywampus, has moved. She mentioned in her most recent post that she is afraid that she committed blogicide by moving, so I thought I would give her a shout out. Her blog is interesting and smart and she is very good at articulating the particular brand of feminism that I subscribe to. Check it out...

P.S. and go check out Figleaf, too. Good stuff that makes you think.

You are a FEMINIST? Oh, well, I shant hold that against you...

Haha Timmy. How can I not be? I enjoy voting, owning property, equal pay for equal work, education, all of those good things that feminism has brought us. Feminism is the radical notion that women's rights are human rights.

For more on why feminism is about human rights and how we all benefit from equality, go here... http://www.realadultsex.com/

Seriously, these guys say it better than I ever could even if I did have time right now, which I don't :).

I just mean: Aint we ALL humans? Gender doesn't mean a hierarchy. But, I was always scared of them broads that thought THEY were superior to males. Like that Steinem gal. It goes both ways, ya dig, Sug? Every aspect you mention SHOULD be equal among M's & F's. Peace~

Hey Sugarmag - I checked out ur friend @ Kittywampus. Woulda left a message there but not willin to post an e-mail to do so. Let her know not ta worry bout the online vs classroom differences. Her topics are so provocative - should be no problem gettin discussion goin. Just make sure to give points for that part - maybe even 25% of the total grade. Learners should not only express opinions but back'em up with academic sources. Cheers -bluesmutt

Hey Timmy,

If everyone agreed that all you had to be was a human being we'd be all set. But do you think everyone agrees?

Don't forget that Gloria Steinem said what *she* said at a time men were saying "the only place for women in our organization is on their backs."

So like you say it goes both ways.

Oh Sugarmag, I just saw this. Thanks so much!

Bluesmutt - The discussion is worth 30%, and about 2/3 of the students are taking it really seriously. That's a pretty good participation rate, but it really should be close to 100%, since there's not a traditional lecture component to the class.

Oh, and if you ever come back and want to post a comment, Bluesmutt, you should know that only the blog administrator can see your email address. It will never appear publicly.

one says one number and the other another
but they were set at the same time. Hmmm...

i love you amy uzarski. always!
