President George W. Bush's mom (and former First Lady) was taken to the hospital last night and is recovering from surgery now.
Here are some actual well wishes from some very beautiful liberals:

Such comments come form the same genre of pseudo-liberals who met trop ships during the Viet Nam War and greeted the returning soldiers with chants of "baby killer" and spat on them. It is patently unfair to to characterize these "people"(and I do use the term quite liberally)as liberals, when in they are nothing more than small-minded, sel-absorbed assholes. Sadly those can be found on both sides of the political spectrum.

Calling them people is rather kind, isn't it.
I've just seen way too much and while yes, it is on both sides of the political spectrum, there truly is a higher percentage on the left. If someone from the left has to go to the hospital, this kind of vile behavior isn't as easy to find.

How refreshing to have found your web site. I've been a big fan of the Boys since the mid-eighties; got on the bus a bit late. However, my politics, as I've matured have become decidedly, shall we say un-left. Still, folks naturally assume that if you dig the GD you must be an unabashed liberal. Thanks for being out there as a reminder that one should never assume. I am loving the 100 days of Dead.

As to where the quotes came from, do the research your damn self. But on the other hand I feel taking your idea that they're all "mythical" and shoving that back in your face by giving you the link for where all that hatred was posted.

I've gotta say, I don't appreciate being lumped in with conservatives in general. I choose not to label myself politically. I'm me. I lean right. I lean left. I walk right down the middle. And I keep an open mind.
Anyway -- yes, it's true that there are "plenty of intolerant, ready to hate on the right" ... but I will stand by my statement that there are more on the left. All one's gotta do is open their eyes. The vile attacks, the viciousness, it's soooo easy to find from the left but not as easy from the right. I'm sure when Kennedy was diagnosed with his brain tumor, there weren't dozens upon dozens of places on the intertubes where one could find conservatives wishing him a slow and painful death. That's generally not how a conservative wants to live his or her life. But many liberals just don't give a shit; appropriately directed hatred for them (many, not all) is second nature.

sometimes you do have to be cruel to be kind but most times its just cruelty for its own sake.
in my opinion it comes from misderected sense of inadequacy and self loathing.
