Sunday Run / GIVE!!!
Hi. You're here at this blog, right?
Yes, you are. So please, since you're here...
Kick a buck into the Kettle.
(<---at the Top of the Left Hand Column...
or check out the post immediately before this one.)
$1
that's all. that's not much.
That's an order. Okay, not really, it's just a request. Everyone reading this (or nearly everyone) has an extra dollar, I'm sure of it! The Salvation Army does great things for people in need. There's always need. There's always lack of money to meet those needs. Give! It will make you feel better to help others, won't it? Especially at Christmas?

Somehow I let myself slip... again... 6 days since my last run. During the week I'm generally just fine with it (not that I should be) and then when it comes to getting that run done, thinking about the fact that I let myself go so long between runs, I feel pathetic. I'm not a self-loathing person, though. I just get down on myself for taking so long between runs. I SHOULD be out there at least once every 3 days. Crap.
Well, I got it done, though. I got it done.
Due to the fact that it's been 6 days without running, I didn't add much time. I labored through the last ten minutes or so... I really wanted to stop... but I persisted and made it. So not easy. A couple was walking their dog on the trail and when I saw them I just wanted to stop to pet the dog. At that point it wasn't so much about petting the dog, it would've been a GREAT excuse to stop. I did try to say hi as I ran by -- not easy as I was so spent and so dying.
I made it, though. Holy crap, I made it somehow.
If I got out there more often than once a week or so, I wouldn't have such a hard time, I'm sure. Dang it. Damn me.

Weezer Pinkerton 1996 | |
Tired Of Sex Getchoo No Other One Why Bother? Across The Sea The Good Life El Scorcho Pink Triangle Falling For You Butterfly |
Not a bad second album from Weezer. My God, it's pathetic that some company with the name Pinkerton sued to stop this album from getting released with this name. How lame is that? Supposedly the record label held back from promoting the album as much as they did Weezer's debut and that hurts sales. Still it did just fine. And interestingly, in a Rolling Stone poll, readers voted this one of the worst albums of 1996. Who cares?!?! Would you really not buy an album if 1,000 people say it sucks? What if you'd like it? Guess you'd never know.
