muttering in sadness

it's March already. How'd that happen?!?!

from LunaNina.com... this meme is called: Unconscious MutteringsUnconscious Mutterings

a free association game -- I say ... and you think ... ?

1. (it's at the end)

2. Poker :: game ... with gambling

3. Federal :: Government ... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! What a joke.

4. Mattress :: bed

5. Who am I? :: Who am I? I'm Batman.

6. Investigation :: FBI

7. In good hands :: safe

8. 8:30 :: p.m.

9. Creditors :: bad people? (beats me, i don't deal with any. i guess they don't have to be bad when they loan people money at decent rates and it's paid back on time.)

10. Resource :: Wikipedia ... whenever you need 100% accurate information! HAHAHA... It is a handy resource for when you want quick info and don't necessarily need it to be definitive... but then again many articles do have definitive sources... you're just a fool, though, if you believe beyond a shadow of a doubt everything you read on there.

1. Chemical :: Ali

... "harmless" Saddam Hussein (who the world should have removed from power years before the United States did) used Chemical Weapons AGAINST HIS VERY OWN CITIZENS and "Chemical Ali," Hussein's cousin, was in charge of the Chemical Weapons program at the time.

But Hussein should have been left alone, huh? Appease evil in the world? Allow it to do as it wishes? Always the right thing to do? Yeah, I'm pissed off we didn't leave Hitler alone. Someone needs to be impeached for that!!! (No, I'm not equating Hussein to Hitler, just saying Hitler never attacked the United States and he was a very bad man, you might say. Hussein was also a very bad man... but not a harmless little kitten who should have been left alone.)

Funny thing about genocide -- it's not pleasant or pretty.

Maybe that's why so many people wish to just ignore it. Out of sight, out of mind... can't see it then it doesn't mean anything, right?

Genocide destroys the world a piece at a time.

Wishing to appease evil is just as bad as actually taking part in crimes committed against innocent people.

When a person prefers to leave a dictator in place rather than seek his IMMEDIATE removal in order to bring about a longterm peaceful outcome where human beings can live without fear, perhaps they really ought to search their soul and maybe look at pictures like these, and at thousands more, and rethink their position.

nice mutterings and a wise reminder post - I spelled Ali incorrectly on mine...but the thought was there. Frightening, frightening.

So sad that some people feel they can violate the living rights of others.
No matches but I liked your Wikipedia.

So...you really think the war was about removing Saddam Hussein?

Zoooma said...

It sounds like you're assuming that's what I think.

Yes, the War in Iraq was about removing Saddam Hussein... partially. That was clearly one of the goals.

Right at the very beginning of the war Hussein was given 72 hours, I believe, to step down and leave.

There was more to the war than that, obviously, but that's all I'm focusing on here.

His time as dictator was through...

finally.

Unfortunately it took so friggin' long for that to happen. For way too many years THE WORLD, very simply, appeased Hussein. While he essentially spat in the face of the United Nations, he was allowed to carry out crimes against his very own citizens, engaging in terror and supporting terrorism that would NEVER be allowed in over half the nations on Earth.

Blows my mind that so many people care so deeply about their freedom but when it comes to the human rights of others in other lands, something like Alf or American Idol is way more important.

Out of sight, out of mind, right?

Taking that stance is selfish, I think... just pathetic.

one says one number and the other another
but they were set at the same time. Hmmm...

i love you amy uzarski. always!
