March Run #2

Too lazy to type about important stuff outside of exercise.
Well, at least I'm exercising.

The North Face trail running shoe -- good for use in the Appalachian Mountains ... but seriously, they are rather small compared to the Rocky Mountains ... Sierra Nevada are sweet, too. Would definitely use 'em in the Alps, that's for sure. One thing's for sure -- Jerry Garcia or Bob Weir or Phil Lesh probably never went running in Bolivia. Probably the same with Brent Mydland. At least that's my gut feeling. I could be wrong. I mean, there were a lot of drugs at Grateful Dead shows and the good Lord above, He knows I did my share!

A splendid run. Yes, just splendid. Inching my way up to 18 minutes...
or should I say: seconding my way up.

Fascinating music from this rocker from Detroit, Michigan. Interestingly almost no one's heard of her! That's not entirely true... no one in America has heard of her! Shouldn't really say that... it's just that she's had next to no commercial success here in her very own country. Scored big in Portugal and Down Under... but not here. Very strange how that works for a few Americans. Her sound could be described kind of like Joan Jett and Lita Ford... also like cheesy 80's soundtrack music for a movie that has a Kenny Loggins song as the main theme. But while Joan Jett made it big here for awhile and Lita Ford, who knows what's happened to her but she had at least one popular song in the 80's, Suzi Quatro I had never even heard of until just recently and that was purely by accident. Apparently she's still rockin' in her 60's and has released quite a few albums. I'll probably never listen to her ever again but twas definitely interesting this one time.

It is not true that folks in America have not heard of her. Suzi Quatro was none other than Leather Tuscadero on Happy Days! Heeeyyyyyy

Everyone knew Suzi then. :) She even had a song that charted called Stumblin' In.

I've edited my post -- almost no one has heard of her!

An interesting listen, that's for sure.

I was going to bring up the Happy Days gig- that's one of the only ways I would know her. Her name is dropped from time to time, but she hardly was popular in the US for her music. Probably influenced the Runaways, for sure.

one says one number and the other another
but they were set at the same time. Hmmm...

i love you amy uzarski. always!
