Dead Cool K9

I'm not too much into these meme dealies but last summer I did them for awhile when I had a broken leg. No running or hiking meant less music... and being fairly lazy, I didn't have much else to post ... or didn't feel much like posting anything else. For the most part I've stuck with Unconscious Mutterings which is fun to do ... but this looks like a good excuse to post something else up, at least every Tuesday...

HEADS OR TAILSInterpret the theme in any way you wish. You can write a story
or a poem, show photos or videos, scan and post a picture you drew,
just about anything. The choice is yours.

Today's theme:
Any part of (or place in) a house

My dog, Cassidy, the Super Samoyed, catching some upside-down Zzzzzzz's on a hot summer day on that spot of cold stone floor in my house when I was living in Missoula, Montana. There's an air conditioning vent right above his tail blowing down on him as well as a ceiling fan blowing overhead. With no direct sunlight, and this room about three feet lower than the whole rest of the house, this little area was the coolest place to be found and he LOVED it on those really warm days in the summertime. Smart dog!!

That is one smart dog. I pretty much feel the same way in summer. :)

Thanks, jen up top there, and skittles and Michele...

and Nazz, better to have a Dead dog named Cassidy than Jerry... I mean sheesh, how many dogs were there in the lots on Summer Tour named Jerry?!?!

Anyway, he wasn't named by me but by an ex-girlfriend... he's all white, not very masculine looking if you don't know him well... she picked him out & named him, we split up a few months later, then she abandoned him (and another dog she had) when she went to move in with an ex-con halfway across the country. She didn't take the dogs with her but told her friends to send them along after she got settled. Yeah, that was great (i say sarcastically) and it didn't happen. I got the first call asking if I'd take him in and I did and have had him since. (The other dog got adopted by someone else.)

He's a great Dead dog, man. Hates brushing, hates baths, would rather have a scruffy appearance than that of a show dog. He's now 12½ and hasn't had a collar on or used a leash since he was about 2. Just a darn cool Dead dog.
