75 again

Putting up some Dead (or related) tunes lately has just not happened on a very good frequency, huh? Oh well. I meant to put up a show yesterday morning. Then last night... but I slept. Maybe this morning before I head off to work. Maybe I'll stop forever. It's a lot of work! I probably won't stop forever but sometimes a nice distraction can come in and have more importance. Distraction in a positive sense, that is.
Yeah, definitely positive
SMILEY STAN

For now I'll conquer this dealie... finally. Why? Why not.

Things Done & Not Done

highlight those you've done

...or just make them bold

01. Bought everyone in the bar a drink

02. Swam with wild dolphins - I don't think many people do this; the dolphins that people do swim with are usually almost pets at a resort... not exactly wild

03. Climbed a mountain - Many but not in awhile... mountaineering is one of my most favorite selfish things to do

04. Taken a Ferrari for a test drive - I wish! Actually I don't wish, that would be one of the worse teases ever considering part of me would REALLY love to own one! Any year, doesn't matter, doesn't have to be new, just so long as it's not yellow or white. I'm not sure I could morally justify owning a Ferrari but once upon a time I sure wanted a garage-full... and they're still, to me, the most beautiful cars ever made!

05. Been inside the Great Pyramid

06. Held a tarantula - why?!?!

07. Taken a candlelit bath - très romantique

08. Said I love you and meant it

09. Hugged a tree - just call me Julia Butterfly Hill

10. Bungee jumped - yup, and I would again in a heartbeat!

11. Visited Paris - been there but not necessarily for a visit, more like a passing through. Didn't even see that big metal pointy thing that's in A View To A Kill

12. Watched a lightning storm at sea

13. Stayed up all night long and saw the sun rise - only like a trillion times... give or take a few

14. Seen the Northern Lights - I am in Alaska... seeing them is basically unavoidable in the winter. Due to being a camera-less schmuck for the past many years, I have so few pictures but here's one of the only Alaska ones I've ever taken...

FAIRBANKS LIGHTS 2

15. Gone to a huge sports game - define huge

16. Walked the stairs to the top of the leaning Tower of Pisa - I've walked to the top of the stairs for pizza

17. Grown and eaten your own vegetables - kinda sorta when I was a kid, well, I helped but sadly no... maybe someday

18. Touched an iceberg - not since I was on the Titanic

19. Slept under the stars - For sure, many times

20. Changed a baby’s diaper

21. Taken a trip in a hot air balloon - way too expensive

22. Watched a meteor shower - Perseid? I don't remember the name but I remember laying on the beach and watching 'em whip by

23. Gotten drunk on champagne - it wasn't Cristal

24. Given more than you can afford to charity - In this life o' mine, giving to charity always comes first before anything else... so it's never a matter of whether I can afford to give or not, it's a matter of whether I can afford anything else after I have given. I can't live any other way

25. Looked up at the night sky through a telescope - I'm pretty sure I had one when I was a kid, don't remember specifically, but not since

26. Had an uncontrollable giggling fit at the worst possible moment - can't recall a specific occurrence but probably

27. Had a food fight - and gotten detention for taking part, too!

28. Bet on a winning horse - No, I believe gambling's a waste of money

29. Asked out a stranger - never had the balls to... I'd risk my life climbing a dangerous mountain but I've always previously known, at least to some degree and in some way, the people I've gone out with

30. Had a snowball fight - like a million of 'em! a favorite favorite favorite pastime as a kid. That and throwing snowballs at the high school school buses... and random cars. Good juvenile delinquent fun!

31. Screamed as loudly as you possibly can - who hasn't?!

32. Held a lamb - a leg of lamb

33. Seen a total eclipse - never bothered

34. Ridden a roller coaster

35. Hit a home run

36. Danced like a fool and not cared who was looking - some might say yes but I wouldn't say I was dancing like a fool

37. Adopted an accent for an entire day - today it's Polish-Uruguayan

38. Actually felt happy about your life, even for just a moment - this one seems like it's aimed at the chronically depressed, like being happy about life is a rare occurrence. That's sad.

39. Had two hard drives for your computer

40. Visited all 50 states

41. Taken care of someone who was too drunk

42. Had amazing friends - still do WAVING SMILEY

43. Danced with a stranger in a foreign country

44. Watched wild whales

45. Stolen a sign - I plead the 5th

46. Backpacked in Europe

47. Taken a road-trip - i may have 1 or 2 dozen times... maybe 100 roadtrips? What's the minimum mileage to qualify as a roadtrip? Would that be kilometerage in Canada, eh? It's funny, not like ha ha funny, like that's sad funny, just the other day I was thinking about a serious good old fashioned American roadtrip and how the stoopid gas prices are ruining people's chances, and would severely mess up grand plans of mine, to take a Great American Roadtrip. I don't really need one, I've criss-crossed America a whole bunch and my old, ratty, highlighted Rand McNally Road Atlas can attest to that. Still I'd love to cruise again and stop some places I haven't been, see some places I've only passed through, and more importantly see some great people... and try to spend some time with one or two in particular.

But a Great American Roadtirp is something I encourage people to do because there's SOOOOOOO much to see across this wonderful country that Barack Obama's wife has never been proud of until recently. Oh, no, did I go there? But seriously... I've been fortunate to travel far and wide down many a Lazy River Road and over So Many Roads... gotta get them old U.S. Blues in ya, baby, GO, SEE, ENJOY and for God's sake, don't take the damn interstates! BACKROADS... take it slow, see more than billboards, taillights, and Exit Signs... see this great nation: the people and the places that make it the best country on the planet... and probably the best on most other planets but in fairness to them, I haven't been to them all so I'm not sure.... but probably!

48. Gone rock climbing - not in a long while, not a lot of great rock for it in Alaska, unfortunately... if/when I leave here, I'll probably start busting out my gear more often than I have

49. Midnight walk on the beach - like exactly at midnight? I haven't kept a journal with exact times so I can't really say for sure. A walk on the beach late at night? Oh sure. I lived at the beach (LBI) during many summers back in New Jersey.

50. Gone sky diving

51. Visited Ireland

52. Been heartbroken longer than you were actually in love

53. In a restaurant, sat at a stranger’s table and had a meal with them

54. Visited Japan

55. Milked a cow

56. Alphabetized your CDs.

57. Pretended to be a superhero - Umm, hello? I don't need to pretend

58. Sung karaoke

59. Lounged around in bed all day - does being sick count as lounging?

60. Posed nude in front of strangers - every chance I get! Who doesn't?!?!

61. Gone scuba diving

62. Kissed in the rain

63. Played in the mud - probably when I was a kid

64. Played in the rain

65. Gone to a drive-in theater - first time was seeing Lady & The Tramp in Paramus, NJ... I pretty much don't even remember it... next was like almost 20 years later in Missoula, Montana seeing The Birdcage followed by Grumpier Old Men... Birdcage shoulda been 2nd, it was funnier

66. Visited the Great Wall of China

67. Started a business

68. Fallen in love and not had your heart broken

69. Toured ancient sites

70. Taken a martial arts class

71. Played a Computer game for more than 6 hours straight

72. Gotten married

73. Been in a movie - sort of: Searching For Bobby Fisher, but I ended up on the cutting room floor

74. Crashed a party

75. Gotten divorced
