Why do people care more about the health and well being of animals than each other?
Some people do and your question is one I'd want to ask them because it boggles my mind. That's not to say animals don't deserve to be cared for and helped because they need it, too. I believe in supporting causes like the Human Society... but in my view there are many MUCH more important organizations that money should be going towards. There's nothing wrong with helping animals or saving the earth... but what about making it a priority to help each other, actual fellow human beings who suffer in ways we'd never wish upon anyone? That is what should ALWAYS be first in peoples' hearts... i believe.
its important as the weakest are most in need of defense by the strong as the strong can take care of themselves (most of the time), often at the expense of the weak. it is the responsibility of us all to protect others if we can and, from the heart whom, who has courage, and love can do anything else?

Well, animals almost NEVER fuck people over. In some cases, animals are more intelligent than "people". Animals who are abused are almost always COMPLETELY victims.
