Merry Christmas?

Wow. That's an interesting video but my head is exploding trying to figure out your point by posting it. I thought you were a big fan of teh war, or maybe it's only wars in which GWB is the commander in chief. BTW, a lot of the footage is from wars that GWB started, so really, what's your point?

Well, first of all, you're mistaken in saying "a lot of the footage is from from wars what GWB started." Watch again and look closer, that's simply not true. In fact, as far as I can tell, there's nothing in there from Afghanistan or Iraq post 9/11. I could be wrong and there might be some but it's not "a lot." No.

Secondly, I am not a big fan of any war but as a realist I know that sometimes war is necessary. Sometimes war needs to be waged and innocent humans need to die in order to destroy a greater evil who will do much worse things in the world if he is left alone. Hitler, for example, could not be stopped by diplomacy and/or a petition. Hussein, left alone, committed genocide against his very own citizens. He filled schoolhouses with weapons instead of books, weapons obtained under the Oil For Food program. Iran being asked to cut the crap with nuclear weapons will not stop their potential path to nuclear genocide. War, sadly, sometimes IS needed to stop evil from spreading and murdering way too many innocents.

My point is what was said in the video -- it's a disgusting world and if we open our eyes and see the crap for ourselves, how can we ever really truly have a Merry Christmas when people are being slaughtered all over the world?

"Secondly, I am not a big fan of any war but as a realist I know that sometimes war is necessary. Sometimes war needs to be waged and innocent humans need to die in order" --

"A vital element in keeping the peace is our military establishment. Our arms must be mighty, ready for instant action, so that no potential aggressor may be tempted to risk his own destruction. Our military organization today bears little relation to that known by any of my predecessors in peacetime, or, indeed, by the fighting men of World War II or Korea.

Until the latest of our world conflicts, the United States had no armaments industry. American makers of plowshares could, with time and as required, make swords as well. But now we can no longer risk emergency improvisation of national defense. We have been compelled to create a permanent armaments industry of vast proportions. Added to this, three and a half million men and women are directly engaged in the defense establishment. We annually spend on military security alone more than the net income of all United States corporations.

Now this conjunction of an immense military establishment and a large arms industry is new in the American experience. The total influence -- economic, political, even spiritual --is felt in every city, every Statehouse, every office of the Federal government. We recognize the imperative need for this development. Yet we must not fail to comprehend its grave implications. Our toil, resources, and livelihood are all involved. So is the very structure of our society.

In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist. We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together.

Akin to, and largely responsible for the sweeping changes in our industrial-military posture, has been the technological revolution during recent decades. In this revolution, research has become central, it also becomes more formalized, complex, and costly. A steadily increasing share is conducted for, by, or at the direction of, the Federal government."

Finger on the pulse even then.

More significant:

[In explaining the "true" nature of banking in the world] Their objective isn't to control the conflict, it's to control the debt that the conflict produces. You see, the real value of a conflict, the true value, is in the debt that it creates. They the debt, they control everything. (You find this upsetting?) But this is the very essence of the banking industry, to make us all, whether we be nations or individuals, slaves to debt.

I find this upsetting.

There you go - Eisenhower and those ridiculous conspiracy theories of his!

What is your point, Lefty?

My point is that the primary reason for war is money. The world banking cartel makes a LOT of money on the interest financing wars, and industries (especially defense - the weapons/war hardware, and military contractors - Blackwater, etc.) make a lot of money. Also, strategic - the conflicts in the middle East have a LOT to do with the world oil supply - war for profit making.

Ever notice that regardless of who and where the pawns are, basically the same fuckwads profit?

Come on, Lefty, wise up. War is NOT started by men who decide it's time to make some more money. What do they do, have meetings in boardrooms and then call the Pentagon/White House and tell them to go into Afghanistan or Kuwait or Iraq or wherever? I guess if military action is taken against Iran, it won't be the call of the U.S. or Israel, it'll be these bankers calling to say, "We've decided to start a war, Mr. President. Do as we say."

That's such an incredibly delusional idea with no basis to it whatsoever. What would be in it for the President? Are they lining Obama's wallet with some extra cash? (If you dare answer yes, please provide hard evidence of this.)

Yeah, corporations profit from war but it's not the reason wars are started.

Also, if your conspiracy theory is correct, that wars are started solely for profit, just as an example please explain how corporations/bankers got the War in Kosovo started. Did they orchestrate the whole thing including genocide?

Actually, don't explain a thing. I'm just gonna delete any conspiracy crap you press Publish on. Go away or stop it with the whole World Bankers Pulling Every String bullcrap. Step away and listen to yourself, at how utterly stoopid it sounds that men in boardrooms plan all wars for the sake of inflating their personal billion dollar bank accounts.

Conspiracy crap deleted. It's wonderful to have an open mind and the ability to find out that such idiocy has no basis except within the closed minds of a minuscule percentage of the population. Funny how brilliant they think they are while everyone else, comparatively in their minds, is the fool.

No world elite are dictating to Obama how to do everything he does. You're acting like they script everything that happens in the world just so they can attempt to earn a few extra billion dollars a year. Yeah, whatever. No more, Lefty. No more conspiracy BS.

one says one number and the other another
but they were set at the same time. Hmmm...
