The Flamingo Kid has me perplexed

I'm confused.

Some people will want to propagate the idea that Fox News is BAD!!! That channel is Republican propaganda, everything they say is dangerous and completely one-sided, and it's just plain wrong for Americans to watch the "faux" news they put forth to the public.

(That's true, right?)

It's my understanding, according to some, that Sean Hannity represents all things Republican and what does that mean? That means he only cares about himself. The plight of the suffering means NOTHING to Sean Hannity and Fox News.

(Also true, right?)

Then what the hell is Matt Dillon doing on Hannity discussing the plight of the suffering in Sudan? Wouldn't this just be a waste of time to Hannity? Liberals, I ask you -- doesn't this go against everything Fox News stands for . . . in your opinion?? Or is it, perhaps, you're wrong in your assessment of that news channel?

Actually, far more important than slandering/spreading lies about Fox News is what Dallas Winston is saying here. Pay attention to that, won't you? (I hope because it's on Fox News, the importance of the cause isn't lessened. Is it?)

and consider helping out with a few bucks if it's in your heart to

because God knows the government giving tax-payer dollars
surely won't get the job done.

Think any Wall Street bonus money will find its way to Sudan?

Fascinating how people wanna take any old post and put up comments that are completely not on topic. No time for it. Go find yourself a forum 'cause this ain't one.

"Hannity? Liberals, I ask you -- doesn't this go against everything Fox News stands for . . . in your opinion?? Champagne, IL? I'm in Chicago - why doncha stop by for some coffee, french fries and a chat?

Many say Fox News is practically an arm of the Republican party, that they spew forth Republican "propaganda" . . . and don't Republicans care only for themselves and never for the suffering of others? So then why the heck would Hannity have someone on the air talking about Sudan?

These questions were not answered. Why not? I can only speculate -- people don't want to admit that none of that's true. They want to believe it because it's "cool" and it's the elitist thing to do . . . but they know it ain't true and there's just no way on Earth they're gonna admit it.

P.S. how long've you lived in Illinois? People drink champagne but the U of Illinois is in Champaign.

I invited you to stop by for some

Other times, Lefty, you've gone off on some conspiracy tangent and A) I ain't got no time for it and B) I ain't gonna serve as a platform to propagate such idiotic lies. Serious journalists don't investigate the crap your tin foil hat society wants to spew forth. None of it has any basis. Take it elsewhere.

And then for this post I asked if Fox News is a propaganda machine, why on Earth would they take time to broadcast a piece about human suffering? Your answer never addressed questions in the post. As soon as that's determined after reading the first sentence or two, I don't even read the rest.

If you're gonna take a post about a certain topic and comment with stuff that's completely unrelated, I'm just gonna delete it 'cause I don't have time to read and respond plus it really ticks me off. Way, way, way too many things on my mind and the crap you type has zero priority.

"As soon as that's determined after reading the first sentence or two, I don't even read the rest." - further evidence of that OPEN MIND you like to believe you possess.

I do understand you wanting to keep things "on topic", but deleting without reading? Ignorance is bliss (someone said).

You believe that having an open mind means I have to read EVERYTHING on the planet? It's not a matter of being open or close-minded, it has to do with priorities and time. I can't read everything and when it comes to the narratives you post that are off topic and/or conspiracy related, I don't have time.

God Bless Brit Hume!

Zoooma said...

How exactly was Brit Hume being intolerant?

Anonymous said...

Do I really have to spell it out to you? Lambasting one religion (Budhism) and claiming only Christianity can provide salvation? Did you even watch the clip??

Zoooma said...

You're immensely stretching what Brit Hume said. There were no words verbally attacking Buddhism nor was there anything in his inflection to put down Buddhism.

Want an exact transcription?

"He's said to be a Buddhist. I don't think that faith offers the kind of forgiveness and redemption that is offered by the Christian faith."

Saying "I don't think" is not a slam on Buddhism. And he did not say Christianity is the only way to provide salvation.

Wise up.
