Life has never been the same without looking forward to seein Jerry play
How lucky we all were to have the incredible good fortune of seeing Jerry Garcia play live. Most kids I talk to today couldn't even name one band member of The Dead.
Rock on, Jer..You still da' man!!
A very meaningful picture, here, the VW bus, because on the day Jer passed, I was paged with the sad news, while working on Mulholland Drive, in Bel Air, California. Then, as i ramped onto the south bound 405 Fwy, I merged immediately behind a red & white VW bus, with "J.J.G. - 1942-1995"
written in paint on the rear window. His lights were on, middle of the day, so I turned mine on & followed behind in a slowly growing caravan of vehicles.
Wow-- what a graphic! I can't believe it's been 14 years....Mountain Girl did some great interviews with all kinds of people Jerry knew/played with this past week on Sirius GD Channel.
Maxell did a great ad for Jerry as well. I think it was a cassette of the final show in Chicago.
