That was definitely a blast (and a half) from the past... has at least two (of her) major hits on it, maybe 3 even. I don't think I'll press play on Benatar again anytime soon... but she's kinda cool!

P.S. gipnulum backatchya (whatever gipnulum means!)Zooomahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17112098438748527228noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-69713979202370211.post-91811923398170447262007-12-14T16:01:00.000-05:002007-12-14T16:01:00.000-05:00Pat Benatar. Since then I've lived in so many places so NJ is the biggest part of who I am... and once upon a time WPLJ was a decent station, the first I remember listening to on my very first boombox. My recollections are foggy but PLJ was somewhat what WNEW became in their heyday... before they went to hell in the mid to late 90's, I think. Playing everybody who was anybody in Rock and Roll at the time, PLJ had their spot in the NYC limelight... I'm guesstimating here, like early 80's, I think.Zooomahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17112098438748527228noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-69713979202370211.post-12148212159839539272007-12-14T09:13:00.000-05:002007-12-14T09:13:00.000-05:00Wow, WNEW & WPLJ -- not sure how long you've been ...Wow, WNEW & WPLJ -- not sure how long you've been living away from New Jersey, but I could tell you, now, those stations seriously suck.

My Dad used to say that PLJ stood for "Pretty Lousy Junk."

When I was a wee tot, and into the bullshit that that station played, I would protest vehemently, but nowadays I would tend to agree with him.Ericahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12602144303531594094noreply@blogger.com
