Seriously?

Formerly black Michael Jackson announced his final London concerts...

My question is: who the hell paid all those people to scream like that? I'll bet that's why U.S. President Obama met with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown the other day. They were discussing things including New World Socialism. Perhaps part of the Bloated Government Spending bills pushed through Congress recently (and the one pending) included tax payer dollars to pay for actors to pretend they care about Michael Jackson that much. No one in their right mind, especially someone in their 30's or 40's like many of those in the video here, could possibly be that much in love with plastic surgery practice doll Michael Jackson. Could they? Seriously?

Dean Adams, thanks for letting me know where you stand and what frame of mind you're in.

I've got you on the Believes Every Deadhead MUST Love Obama, Believes Every Deadhead Must NOT Think For Themselves, Is A Close-minded Deadhead list.

Check.

Hey, Deadman, what does calling someone a fucking retard have to do with being a Deadhead?

I think I hang with different heads than the one's on this blog. All good, we are rainbow, it takes hues.

I know a capitalist is one who uses money to invest in industry, but what is a self-sufficient Capitalist? Are you an investor who doesn't use a broker or one who grows your own food?

Your "Fuck Obama" shirt sounds really cool and rebellious, you really should wear it. I'll wear a shirt that says "Any one who blames the stock market on Obama and not hedgefund deriviatives isn't smart enough to invest," or one that reads "I really don't care about the 1% that owns 60% of the stocks, I must be a socialist" We can stand together on tour and all you Zooma readers can call me names, because I don't agree with you politically. Now that's what being a head is about.

Keep up the indepth right wing screed, use the words "fuck, retard and socialism" even more, and you're sure to change this old hippie's leftist bent.

Oh, terribly sorry, I thought anonymous wrote both rants. I guess we have a new boil to lance. How's the weather up there, Mikey? I see your brain has frozen solid.

I really don't give a fuck about any of this stuff, I never would invest my cash in corporate America, and only vote third party. But it's the truth that unregulated credit default swaps, a form of derivative, were the downfall of AIG, Bear Sterns, Lehmann Bros., etc. The sacrosanct free market would regulate itself according to the Wall Street crooks, while they screwed pension funds and 401(k)s. Just offering a different perspective than the useless and slightly repititive "it's all the fucking socialist retards fault" so common on this blog.

Deadman, that's a good one, my brain being frozen, you're a clever boy aren't you (it's cold in Minnesota, haha, I got it). You offer some deep insight for us all to think about. I wonder why your mom thinks she has to always defend your posts. You, my brother, have a gift with words.

Not true. Mom always did like you best. So did dad. But this would probably be the wrong place to talk about why you're in therapy for that...

Being a Cali Head, I have been a little shocked at the level of conservatism here- then I read an interview with Ann Coulter, who professes to be a Dead Head, and my eyes opened..... not that I agree with ultra conservatism AT ALL, and in no way can see how it relates to the Dead. But, people are people and it does take all kinds.......

I'm not sure what you're referring to when you use the word "Ultra" but on the flip side, the Collective Socialist Utopia really didn't have anything to do with the Grateful Dead either. Some elements of liberalism did, sure, but no one walked around the parking lots checking to see who was the wealthiest so they could force them to turn over some of their money, which would then be freely handed out to the people with less. Sometimes kids on tour had tickets for every show. How was that right when some people had tickets for only a show or two... or for no shows at all? Sorry, Charlie. Capitalism ruled.

Ever take up a collection so some poor bastard who hitchhiked across the two states could buy a ticket and see a show?

Now that's the way to do it, Zoooma - voluntary charitable donations, not forcing someone to give up what they have because, well, you can ruin their life if they don't.

There seems to be an attitude that if one is conservative (and/or Republican) one is a greedy capitalist bastard that never lends a helping hand.

Fact is, this country is the most generous when it comes to private charitable donations.

If you force people to give up what they've worked hard for, they will not have enough left over to donate to charity. It should be a choice, not forced by government as the O-hole wants to do.

one says one number and the other another
but they were set at the same time. Hmmm...

i love you amy uzarski. always!
