Another Untitled Rant & Running Post

Will our government do anything right? Seemingly -- no. Listening to the White House briefing with Press Secretary (Somebody Gibbs,) I got that he wants the American people to NOT focus on 99% of the "stimulus" bill but take pleasure in the fact that like 1% will be helping to stimulate the economy. Without getting too much into it, this is helps demonstrate the divide in America. Dems want to help people BUT they also want to bloat the government and spend like crazy on anything they can. Here we are with Republicans being the ones who want to solely focus on the American worker without all the other crap.

(Or something like that. I'm generally always right but like Obama giving waivers to get around the promises he made about not having lobbyists in his administration, I'm giving myself a waiver to not be totally accurate here.)

Anyway, I wasn't paying close attention but over and over that's what I may have heard, that the American people (and the Media) shouldn't focus on the questionable things that the taxpayer dollars are going to be spent on. Only focus on we think will stimulate the economy. Stop scrutinizing everything else.

IT'S OUR MONEY. Are you kidding us? Don't dwell on the useless crap that some of the Congress has put in there, just focus on what'll help the people immediately?? But what about all that useless crap?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Ignore it? Stimulus bill my ass. "Government Bloating Bill -- 2009."

Whatever. Dooshbags. Any president who chooses a Tax Cheat to run a government agency and the government who seats that Tax Cheat is just asking to ALWAYS be in suspicion of EVERYTHING they EVER do.

That is all.

I went running.

The North Face trail running shoe -- good for use in the Appalachian Mountains ... but seriously, they are rather small compared to the Rocky Mountains ... Sierra Nevada are sweet, too. Would definitely use 'em in the Alps, that's for sure. One thing's for sure -- Jerry Garcia or Bob Weir or Phil Lesh or Blaise Compaoré probably never went running in Liberia, Burkina Faso, Ouagadougou, Pyongyang, Probably the same with Brent Mydland. At least that's my gut feeling. I could be wrong. I mean, there were a lot of drugs at Grateful Dead shows and the good Lord above, He knows I did my share!

Ay caramba. I'm wiped out. Nearly 70° (F) for the end of January? Disgusting. Just wrong. And it didn't help my run. By the time I got halfway through I wishing for death, as in -- drop dead, heart stop, run over. I'm not sure why left wing liberal [insert bad name here]'s complain so much about enhanced interrogation techniques for terrorists . . . they should be protesting to stop me from running because THAT is torture.

I don't know why but my shoulders hurt. I'm not sore anywhere else but there. Hips hurt during my run, a little bit, but that subsided. No bad knee pain. All seems pretty good... but my shoulders?

Twas so foggy this morning and I wanted to run down the foggy trail
but it lifted quickly. Oh well. If it wasn't so warm this afternoon, twouldn't a-been so bad. Now all I really want is a coffin, thanks.

But I'm glad I got this run in. One more run and I can eclipse December and that's my goal. Unfortunately I won't get over 3 hours. Dang it.

Apparently this is considered a great album. It is good. I think I like it. I Will Possess Your Heart (on the album) drives forward for minutes on end before any lyrics are sung. Would be a GREAT driving song, particularly late at night.

I've known about this band but am not sure if I've ever heard a single note of their music before pressing play on Narrow Stairs. What's here is uneven in sound. Slow and dirge-like here, fast and cool there, and then Beatles/Oasis-ish in another place. I dunno, I don't want every song to sound the same but what's up with that? It's like three different bands.

Overall this is pretty good but I'd've liked it to be more upbeat. No Sunlight and Long Division get there but not a lot else.

I might listen again and might check out other albums of theirs. We'll see.

Quiz: Who made the following quote?
"I want to go line by line through every item in the federal budget and eliminate programs that don't work and make sure that those that do work, work better and cheaper."

Hint: He ain't doin' it for the "stimulus" spending bill his party is proposing....

Zooma...You've got yesterday's download link instead of Death Cab. Could you fix that, please?

Right on! More tax cuts! Eight years of tax cuts have done wonders for the economy, dontcha think? And if you don't believe it, just ask Phil Gramm. He knows this is all in those whiners minds. Real Americans are not affected by this minor economic downturn. Prosperity abounds! We should definitely listen to Republicans about the economy because they've done such a great job turning surpluses into deficits and and jobs into unemployment lines. Bravo!! Wall Street still got their bonuses for the most part. Who you think they vote for? I know you won't post this, because you haven't posted the last five comments I've made. Typical totalitarian right winger

All of that and you could've just said: "I'm against tax cuts." Instead you had to dwell on the past and not at all focus on the present. Eh, whatever. Other than falsely claiming I'm a right winger, even if the thoughts might exist in your mind, at least you didn't just call me names.

but they were set at the same time. Hmmm...
